Modus Ignite is back for 2021 – Passionate business owners, and driven entrepreneurs, are being given another chance to receive a valuable business support package worth thousands. The programme forms part of a leading Oxfordshire accountancy firm’s commitment to supporting the growth and start-up of local businesses.
Managed by Modus Accountants, the first edition of the Modus Ignite programme was launched last year, when Witney’s artisan bakers Pobi Bakery, and Oxford’s 3D printing specialists Printpool walked away with a share of the £10,000 prize package.
This year, the new edition of the support programme is tailored to both start-up businesses formed in the last 12 months, people with business ideas, and established business owners. By doing this the aim is to provide more opportunities for entrepreneurs to gain access to support and start growing their business again.
Open to anyone across Oxfordshire, and the surrounding counties, entries are being sought from passionate individuals and business owners with a good ideas for a new business, or growing their existing one.
Director of Modus Accountants, Mark Spolander, said:
“It’s the second year of our business competition and after receiving many great entries last year, we we’re keen to do even more. This year we’re opening up to more established businesses and I’m excited to get everything moving again, this time at our new offices in Frilford Heath Golf Club.”
In October two entrepreneurs (one business founded less than 12 months ago, and one over) will be chosen by the Modus team to win a support package worth thousands. Each package includes; expert one-to-one business coaching, a premium accountancy package, marketing support, as well as access to the Modus events and network.
All business owners who enter will also be given the opportunity to participate in a series of six free support workshops at the Modus office later this year.
Mark added:
“Like last year you don’t need to be the next Mark Zuckerberg. You have a great idea to rejuvenate the high street, or even want to setup a record company in Oxford, it doesn’t matter. All we’re looking for is someone with the drive and passion to make it work, but possibly in need of a helping hand getting started or getting to the next level. It’s free to enter! So, no matter what your business or idea we hope you take advantage of this opportunity.”
To enter Modus Ignite, entrants are required to complete a short online application form. The deadline for entries is midnight on the 31st October with the winner to be revealed at a Grand Final Event at Frilford Heath Golf Club in November.
