Kickstart support for employers

The UK Government recently announced the launch of The Kickstart Scheme and new job support programme, designed to give businesses the option to provide a 6-month government funded placement, for people who are aged between 16-24, claiming Universal Credit or at risk of long-term unemployment.

To help navigate your way through this new initiative, we have teamed up with Oxfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership, and have agreed to take part in a free support session on the 19th November.

Furlough scheme reboot for second English lockdown

After originally coming to end last month the Coronavirus Job Support Scheme (CJRS) will now be reinstated until 2nd December 2020, with government grants covering 80% of wages, and the launch of the replacement Job Support Scheme (JSS) being delayed.

New ICAEW survey calls for changes to ‘inflexible business rates’

A survey by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) members working in businesses across every economic sector and UK region found that 62% of respondents said a reduction in business rates would help boost the recovery of the UK economy.
